به گزارش تحریریه مسابقات لیگ ورزش‌های الکترونیک ایران (ESLIRAN) برگزاری اولین دوره مسابقات ESLIRAN در دو رشته FIFA 22 و eFootball PES 2021 در آبان و آذر سال 1400 برگزار می‌گردد.
اولین لیگ ملی و حرفه‌ای ورزش‌های الکترونیک در ایران با هدف معرفی این رشته به عنوان یک ورزش در جامعه، اﯾﺠﺎد ﯾﮏ ﻣﺤﯿﻂ رﻗﺎﺑﺘﯽ ﺳﺎﻟﻢ ﺑﺮای ﺟﻮاﻧﺎن و نوجوانان و غنی‌سازی اوقات فراغت آنان و همچنین شناسایی و ساماندهی تیم‌ها و ورزشکاران این رشته‌ها و پرورش استعداد آنان ﺟﻬﺖ دﺳﺖ ﯾﺎﻓﺘﻦ ﺑﻪ ﻣﻮﻓﻘﯿﺖﻫﺎی ملی و ﺑﯿﻦالمللی برگزار خواهد شد.
در حال حاضر قریب به یک میلیارد نفر درگیر بازی‌های رایانه‌ای در سراسر جهان هستند و ورزش‌های الکترونیک جای خود را در میان رویدادهای ورزشی جهانی باز کرده است تا جایی که کمیته بین‌المللی المپیک نیز در حال بررسی برای پیوستن این رشته ورزشی به المپیک می‌باشد.
امروزه مسابقات ورزش‌های الکترونیک بسیار شبیه رویدادهای ورزشی قهرمانی برگزار می‌شود. بازیکنان باید از قوانین و مقررات خاصی پیروی کنند و داوران، بازی‌ها را به طور رسمی قضاوت می‌کنند. گزارشگران به طور تخصصی بازی ها را گزارش کرده و توضیح می‌دهند.
