سال 2023 میلادی سال مملو از بازی‌های بزرگ و رنگارنگ بود که از همان ابتدای سال روی پلتفرم‌های مختلف عرضه شدند. در این میان یک بازی توجهات را بیش از سایرین به خود اختصاص داد و تواسنت جایزه برترین بازی سال از نگاه جشنواره گیم آواردز 2023 را از آن خود کند. بالدرز گیت 3 پس از نزدیک به دو سال که به صورت Early Access در دسترس بود، دوازدهم مرداد ماه امسال روانه بازار شد و از همان ابتدای عرضه با استقبال کم نظیری همراه بود.
این بازی علاوه بر اینکه سود کلانی را تا کنون نصیب تیم سازنده و ناشر کرده، به قدری موفق ظاهر شده که شرکت‌هایی که کوچک‌ترین نقش در ساخت آن نداشته‌اند نیز از درآمد کلان بی‌بهره نمانده‌اند. شرکت Hasbro که لایسنس فرنچایز Baldur’s Gate را در اختیار دارد، از همان سال 2021 که بازی به صورت Early Access روی رایانههای شخصی عرضه شد، به موجب قراردادی که با استودیو Larian داشته، در سود فروش بازی شریک بوده است.
تنها از مرداد ماه امسال بیش از 90 میلیون دلار از قبال فروش بازی Baldur’s Gate 3 روی پلتفرم‌های مختلف، نصیب شرکت Hasbro شده است. این موضوع را آقای کریس کاکس (Chris Cocks)، مدیرعامل شرکت در جلسه مالی اخیر کمپانی اعلام کرده است.
لایسنس بازی Baldurs Gate 3 همچنان معتلق به شرکت Hasbro است
به گفته آقای کاکس در سه ماهه اخیر روند فروش بازی مقداری کند شده است که البته با توجه به زمانی که عرضه بازی می‌گذرد، کاملا قابل انتظار است. مشخص نیست لایسنس بازی Baldur’s Gate 3 تا چه زمانی به استودیو Larian واگذار شده و اینکه آیا آن‌ها فرصت ساخت یک نسخه دیگر را نیز خواهند داشت یا خیر.
