مسابقات انتخابی قهرمانی جهان SNK که به اختصار به آن SWC گفته می‌شود رویدادی است که در آن بازیکنان برتر رشته کینگ آف فایترز (King of Fighters) با یکدیگر به رقابت می‌پردازند. SWC که دومین فصل خود پس از فصل 2019 را پشت سر می‌گذارد، خیلی سریع نام خود را به عنوان یکی از رویدادهای مهم در تقویم ورزش های الکترونیک به ثبت رسانده است.
مسابقات انتخابی SWC 2023 در عربستان سعودی برگزار می‌شود
مسابقات انتخابی SWC 2023 دی‌ماه امسال در چارچوب لیگ ورزش‌های مبارزه‌ای عربستان سعودی در ریاض برگزار خواهد شد. البته این تنها مسابقه انتخابی SWC 2023 نخواهد بود و هنوز چندین رویداد انتخابی دیگر برای فینال جهانی SWC 2023 که در بهار 1403 انجام می‌شود برگزار خواهد شد.
لیگ ورزش‌های مبارزه‌ای عربستان که از تیرماه امسال (جولای 2023) آغاز شده و تا تیرماه سال بعد هم ادامه دارد، 23 دی امسال میزبان دومین دوره مسابقات SWC است. این لیگ پیش از این میزبان رقابت‌های متعددی از قبیل رقابت های Tekken 7 بوده است.
رویداد SWC 2023 که در رشته King of Fighters XV برگزار می‌شود می‌تواند اعتبار ویژه‌ای به این لیگ نوپا اضافه کند و در آینده‌ای نزدیک این لیگ را به یکی از قطب‌های ورزش‌های الکترونیک در رشته‌های مبارزه‌ای بدل سازد.
فینال جهانی SWC 2023
شایان ذکر است قهرمان رقابت‌های King of Fighters XV ریاض مستقیما به فینال جهانی SWC 2023 راه پیدا خواهد کرد. اما همانطور که پیش‌تر گفته شد این مسباقات تنها رقابت انتخابی برای فینال جهانی نخواهد بود و قهرمانان رویدادهای GHZ Hype Night (در پرو)، FGCL Korea (در کره)، Frosty Faustings XVI (در ایالات متحده) و KoF Matsuri Nagoya (در ژاپن) نیز مجوز حضور در فینال جهانی را که بهار 1403 برگزار خواهد شد کسب خواهند کرد.
